The very sad, sudden, & unexpected death of our President Dr Aycke Smook, on 6 March 2023, & a subsequent & continuing illness of another Director, have led to a deep review of how RtDE is to continue.

A business meeting for RtDE Members is planned for later, & details will follow.

This meeting is expected to be held virtually, on-line, by Zoom.

Most importantly, the RtDE business meeting will include election of a new Board of Directors & election of a new President of RtDE.

Candidates for election to the Board (who may be independent persons, or from RtDE Member societies) are sought widely.

Candidates must be committed individuals, volunteers in the RtD field, & have the time, energy, & enthusiasm to serve fully RtDE Members & on the RtDE Board.

Candidate Nomination forms will be made available to download from RtDE’s website www.rtde.eu

Completed nomination forms & the requested necessary attachments (a candidate biographical statement & a candidate portrait picture) will need to be sent by email to board@rtde.eu at least 7 days before the RtDE business meeting.

To allow full participation, the Board has decided to extend, to the close of the upcoming business meeting, already-paid 2022 RtDE Memberships without further payment.

Those who have already paid RtDE for Membership in 2023 will be offered repayment.
